Free Dance
is life expressing itself. Nature (the sea, the
trees, the wind) and emotions, everyday activities
and things (a wheel, a weight, a spiral, drawing,
joy, inviting, giving, rocking a cradle) inspire
it.
Very simple movements, which develop and interweave,
are the basic material it works with.
Malkovsky Free Dance.
• It is way of freeing the body (physically,
mentally and emotionally)
• It is a way to knowledge and personal
growth.
• It is a way of artistic expression.
Isadora Duncan revolutionized dance at the beginning
of the twentieth century. Basing it on simplicity
and energy saving, movement escaped the stiffness
of traditional dance.
François Malkovsky was awestruck by the
new fashion and founded a school which first spread
all over France, and later arrived in Spain, Italy
or Germany.
“The most beautiful movement
is natural. It is that movement which places the
structure of our body and the force of our thinking
in harmony”
F. Delsarte.
“Dance is not only an Art
which allows our soul to express itself, but also
the basis of all possible concepts of life: nimbler,
more in harmony, more natural.”
Isadora Duncan.
“The most wonderful of all
languages, the subtlest, the most powerful. It
is the one that speaks to mankind about all colours
and all latitudes.”
F. Malkovsky.
