15th of November, 2004. The spa Balneario Aquaestética in Madrid, opened its doors to naturists after having reached an agreement with the ADN. The first Sundays of every month, naturists have this spa all for themselves. If you are a member, (you belong to AND or to another association of the Spanish Naturist Federation), you get a reduction of 11€; that is, a 50% discount.
For that first day, the ADN handed out free tickets among members and friends for the grand opening. Over 500 people spent that afternoon at the spa. That means that it has become the event the greatest number of naturists has ever attended.
Before the beginning and for the first half hour, the media fought for the coverage. SER had its telephones collapsed, Antena 3, Tele 5, Tele Madrid and MTV, (the latter for the first time ever), brought their cameras inside to report the event.

A short look back at how we managed to have the spa.
The ADN board had decided to provide naturists with a spa in Madrid for their recreation. That was one, among other projects for the years 2003-4, which the board intended to achieve. It would add to the swimming pool, which we can currently attend every first Saturday of the month.
To that purpose, members were put to the task and among most of the spas in the city, three were selected as candidates.
An agreement was reached with a spa in Embajadores. However, the shareholders vetoed the agreement at the last moment.
Ricardo Peña, member No. 150, talked to the people at Aquaestética Spa Madrid, which is the place he attends regularly. Aquaestética also agreed. Then Carlos Gil visited the premises and reached a favourable deal, which was further improved after a telephone conversation with the ADN president, also throwing in a free invitation to the opening day.
Another members, No. 588-9, contacted the third spa, which is part of a hotel, and is still to be visited by somebody from the board.
