The Cantabria Naturist Association (ANC)
was born on the 27th of April, 1999, and
joined the FEN and the INF.
Some of its priorities are
to promote, foster and defend Naturism
in Cantabria and expand it to all nudists.
ANC has been creating an
important link among associations, centres,
nudists and supporters. These links have
been the result of activities held to
make nudists feel closer to one another
and to the association.
ANC held its own conventions
for five years in a row and last year’s
meeting took place in Burgos with our
ANBU friends and several other associations.
These encounters will be rotating to the
different regions where the associations
hold sway in the years to come. |

| The now popular
International Aquathlon was a creation of
our association with the aim of promoting
nudist sports. That led Naturists to use
our beaches much more frequently. These
stand out: |
 |
|
| Playa de Arena (Isla) |
Playa de Langre (Langre) |
 |
 |
| Somocuevas (Liencres) |
Playa de Sonabia (Castro
Urdiales) |
| The Cantabrian
shore line has 10 more traditionally Naturist
beaches. |
ANC has been involved in the culture,
organising annual photo contests and exhibiting
the winning photos for the last five years.
ANC has several information services,
like the WEB, created by Albert Cortés,
where you find information about our association
and national and international nudist news.
We also publish three bulletins a year, with
documents and articles of varied interest.
ANC is taking a recess in search
of new projects and ideas which will be translated
into activities in not too distant future.
Finally, the voluntary work in
our association is geared towards making Naturism/Nudism
in our country an accepted practice to be enjoyed
in freedom, our natural condition, and with
respect to other ways of thinking.
