Who we are. We are a group of people who has adopted the nudist-naturist way of life as promoted by the International Naturist Federation, believing in its benefits for the physical and mental health of the individual, the family, society and environment.    Our recognition as a lawful institution by the Argentine judiciary was obtained in September 2005, and according to our Constitution, our task is searching, creating and promoting new areas for familial nudist naturist activities all over the country.

Situation of Naturism in Argentina at the present timE
   It can be said that institutionalized naturism in Argentina is just beginning, gaining greater impulse since the visit of Carlos Gil to Argentina in december 2004, and also after the Argentine judiciary recognized our Association in 2005.
   Even if we can sense the presence of many people interested in this philosophy, our present work is mainly directed to differentiate naturist nudism from other types of nudism that confuse people, and also to obtain more people as our associates, collaborating in this diffusion work, and also justifiying the opening of new private installations that cater to the lifestyle.
   At the present time there are several virtual groups, which are important in the difusión of naturism. There have been also a few journalistic interviews that have finally treated the subject seriously.
   Until now, there is only one naturist beach authorized by the Municipalidad de Mar del Plata, Provincia de Buenos Aires, www.playa escondida.com.ar and new investors are required in order to obtain new authorizations at different locations of the Argentine atlantic coast.

		On the other hand, in Córdoba Province, located in the center of our country, we have the “Yatán Rumi Naturist Reserve”; in full process of growth. (Yatán Rumi means “Naked stone” in quechua, language of the people who lived in the area before the arrival of europeans). It is probably the greatest naturist area in the world, with 1200 hectares, about 3000 acres. www.yatanrumi.com.ar    In the metropolitan area of Buenos Aires, there are several new projects under way, besides EDEN (Espacio de Encuentro Naturista, Asociación Civil), but only a few can be promoted as areas of familial nudism.

Institutional Naturist ActivitieS
   The Reserva Naturista Yatán Rumi has organized lately activities within and outside the reserve, with the auspices of Apanna. Asoc.Civil
   To wit, in december 2005, the First Argentine Nudist Maratón took place, with over 60 runners and the support ot the Sports Secretariat of the Municipalidad de Tanti; which is the city closest to the reserve. www.maraton.yatanrumi.com.ar
   That date (the first sunday in december) was instituted with the agreement of all argentine nudist groups, as the Dia Nacional del Nudismo Naturista, (Naturist Nudism National Day), considering that this time of the year has the optimal climate for carrying out social, sports and cultural diffusion activities outdoors.
   In january 2006, a nudist body painting contest was held at the city of Carlos Paz, with the support of the Culture Secretariat fo the Municipalidad de Carlos Paz, Provincia de Córdoba.
   On February 19, 2006, also with the auspices of Apaña, the first Nude Volley Ball tournament was held at Yatán Rumi, which had again and the support ot the Sports Secretariat of the Municipalidad de Tanti, as well as the endorsement of the Volley Ball Federation.
   Our Association has now over 100 members, which, as a promotion, do not pay any dues so far.
   This is the panorama of nudism in Argentina, newyly born, but growing.
